Announcements

PLEASE READ THE ANNOUNCEMENT DATED JAN 13, 2020, BEFORE PROCEDING.

This page will contain information about the latest changes which affect this trading site. Examples would be updates to want lists or scans; pending trades which may affect availability of some stamps shown; my own availability due to being out of town, etc.

As of Dec. 8, 2013, all scans and wantlists are up-to-date.

As of Dec. 12, 2013, the scan below will illustrate how I'm indicating stamps which have been traded:

Stamps with black lines diagonally through the entire stamp indicate those stamps which are no longer available (See 1065 and 1116 above). Stamps with short brown lines at upper left and lower right corners indicate the specific stamp shown has been traded, but I have at least one additional example of the stamp. I will provide a scan of same by e-mail upon request.

As of Feb. 11, 2014, Belgium Want List and Scans added to Blog. All want lists and scans are up-to-date.

February 23 - Trade in process for large numbers of Austria from my scans for Belgium from my want list. These items may not be updated for a couple of weeks.

February 26 - Austria (used) scans have been brought up-to-date. About 80% of Austria (mint) scans have been traded. Section will be re-worked ASAP. Many Belgium and some Denmark from my want lists have been mailed to me. I will update these lists as soon as I receive the stamps.

March 1 - Austria (mint) scans have been reworked and are up-do-date. All want lists except Belgium are up-to-date. There are still extensive revisions to be made to the Belgium want list.

March 3 - Belgium want list is now up-to-date. All want lists and scans are currently up-to-date.

April 26 - I have encountered a "roadblock" in adding new pages to this site. Although I can "create" new pages, for some reason I can't make them visible to anyone visiting the site. However, I find I can still make changes and additions to existing pages. Consequently I have begun combining some pages.  My Iceland want list now follows my Denmark want list; similarly, my Iceland scans now follow the Denmark scans. I realize this makes searching more difficult, but I have not been able to find a better "workaround" to the problem. I expect to make additional combinations as time permits in order to be able to add want lists and scans for Sweden and Switzerland.

May 5 - Continuing my "workarounds," the France (used) scans now follow the France (unused) scans.

June 25 - All want lists except Sweden are up-to-date. Some Sweden stamps are en route to me, and this list will be brought up-to-date as soon as possible. A Switzerland want list has been added to follow the Austria want list. I am going to start moving Austria (unused) Scans to follow the Austria (used) Scans. Switzerland (used) scans will eventually be added to the space created by this move.

July 9, 2016 - All scans and want lists are up-to-date. PLEASE NOTE: I will gradually be removing scans from this site. The success of Stamporama Approval books has made acquiring and disposing of lower value stamps very easy. I find that most prefer to "trade" their nickels and dimes much easier than trying to find equivalent values among their duplicates for trade. Consequently I'll begin adding the stamps presently shown in scans to my approval books. I still welcome trades for all stamps still shown as available in my scans on this site. Stamps may also be purchased at the following rates (until they are moved to approval books): "Plain" numbers = $.05; "Red" numbers = $.10; "Yellow" numbers = $.15; "Green" numbers = $.30; "Blue" numbers = $.50; "Orange" "Magenta" and "Purple" numbers are POR (Price on Request). As Approval books are added to the Stamporama site, stamps with higher ($10+) Scott Catalog listings will be offered in the Stamporama Auction site. Thanks to all who have used this site to trade duplicates. I'll continue to update my want lists and offer "equivalent value" trades as settlement for purchases from my approval books.

Jan 13, 2020 - I am no longer using this site as a vehicle for trading stamps. I am also not using Stamporama to offer Approval books. I will be offering large lots (1,000+, all-different world wide) at auction on Stamporama with a minimum bid of $1.00. I intend to continue updating my want lists for the various countries I collect and will welcome offers from sellers to fill these holes. Offers may be either cash or all-different mixtures from countries of your choice.
